Country charm and ultimate privacy abound. The Cottage is separate from the main house so you have it to yourselves for your entire stay. You’ll find a comfy queen bed in the bedroom, a trundle in the living room, skylights in both rooms. A custom-designed armoire hides a “galley” kitchen and the closet.
Step through the French doors onto the deck for your morning coffee while birds feed in the garden and splash in the birdbath. Homemade granola, yogurt, Raccoon Cottage Coffee Cake, local fresh fruit and Gravenstein apple juice will sustain you for your busy (or lazy!) day in the Russian River Valley and beyond.
Of course people ask how the Cottage got its name. This little watercolor was a gift to me many years ago, and because I was captivated by his charm, I started collecting the critters. When we moved to Sebastopol it seemed only natural that they would live in the Cottage. Thus it became Raccoon Cottage. When it became a B & B, the collection found other homes, but he remains at his post as guardian of the Cottage.
